Kula Flow Yoga
First developed in NYC in the early 2000s, Kula Yoga combines Vinyasa’s breath-based flow with Iyengar’s emphasis on alignment and anatomical precision.
Kula Flow is a vinyasa-style yoga with an emphasis on creativity and alignment. Classes are inventive and thoughtful sequences of sun salutations, standing & seated postures, back-bending and inversions – guided by a steady breath to tone and calm the mind. Every week follows a different physical theme.
Over time, students widen their physical vocabulary and deepen their knowledge of their own bodies and minds— all by focusing primarily on breaking habits, and treating every practice as an opportunity for something new.
